‘TEKNO: Chrome & The Desert’ – Game Assets

Created these assets & some original concepts for an indie run & gun ‘shooter’ game. Narrative focused on time travel and eradication of invasive & self-replicating killer droids in order to save humankind, with a hybrid theme of both futuristic & wild west gunslinger elements.

I created a second UV set to put a focus on details utilizing decals for some greeblies:

Total poly count for final in game mesh was under 10k. Gave the ‘pancho’ more geometry for fluid animation when character moved around.

My initial concept art sketches as I explored look-dev/options, and iterated on feedback from team.

One of several weapon concepts I created – an 8 shot revolver with a speed loader as the pickup item to add ammo to inventory.

Created various low poly environment assets, including this modular fence pack that could be combined for a variety of possible configurations.

Was juggling creation of several other assets when the plug got pulled on this project, like this semi-auto sawed-off shotgun.

specs & info

All were created with Blender, zBrush, Substance Painter, Photoshop (Sketches, Texture Atlases); Rendered in real time using Marmoset Toolbag.

Sadly, the main developer on this project was unable to continue; like a number of indie projects, it was scrapped before it was completed or shipped.
