
rat taxi: fast trash
The following assets were created for Rat Taxi: Fast Trash – a game intended to be a homage to the old Crazy Taxi game, and inspired by an album (Rat Taxi) by the incredibly creative and talented Louie Zong. We had roughly two weeks to put the game together for the Pompous Trash Game Jam in 2025.


We sourced free low poly asset packs (buildings, roads, etc.), so I had to keep the style super simple to keep the look as cohesive as possible.

The project lead wanted to shoot for a New York style metropolis but keep the scale within do-able limits (a small section of what should look like a larger city). So, finally … the most fun asset I created was also the best example of artistic and technical abilities – The ‘Ratue of Libertad’!

3D modeled in Blender. Taxi’s dents and the Ratue were sculpted in Zbrush, and only those were textured in Substance Painter. There had to be some degree of ‘good enough’ mentality in this project since it was just a game jam for fun, and the player would only see things for a matter of a second from the view they get while driving.
